THE WRITER'S COMPANION — RELEASE 1.0
INSTALLATION COMMAND (LINUX)

1. Download writers_companion_v1.0.zip into your Downloads folder.
2. Extract the ZIP archive into Downloads using your file manager.
3. Open the extracted folder named writers_companion_v1.0.
4. Right-click inside that folder and choose “Open in Terminal”, or open a
   terminal and paste the command below. The command assumes the extracted
   folder is at ~/Downloads/writers_companion_v1.0.

COPY AND PASTE THIS COMMAND INTO TERMINAL:

cd "$HOME/Downloads/writers_companion_v1.0" && chmod +x install.sh && ./install.sh

The installer places the application in:
    ~/Documents/Writers_Companion_App/

Your writing documents are stored by default in:
    ~/Documents/Writers_Companion/

If you have not extracted the ZIP yet, use this alternative command from
Downloads to extract it and install in one go:

cd "$HOME/Downloads" && rm -rf writers_companion_v1.0 && mkdir -p writers_companion_v1.0 && unzip -o writers_companion_v1.0.zip -d writers_companion_v1.0 && cd writers_companion_v1.0 && chmod +x install.sh && ./install.sh
